I’ve had the unique experience of attending the LWS for kindergarten through eighth grade in the mid 80’s and 90’s. There wasn’t a high school at that time so I attended the local public high school. After high school I traveled and then went on to completed a BA in Liberal Studies and a California Teaching Credential in Special Education Services. When my children were 2 and 4 I moved back to the area and enrolled them in our LWS. I wanted them to have the magical and supportive educational experience that I had as a child. After a variety of experiences working in the public school setting, this is my first year teaching at the LWS in the junior high and high school.
It is so inspiring to be part of a team that focuses on the whole child and works individually with each child to increase personal growth in all areas of development. Each child comes to this school with their own journey, needs and gifts to share. It is such a blessing to support each one in their individual process.
