The Ananda Living Wisdom™ School was founded in 1972
on the belief that we have entered a new age of energy and
spiritual consciousness that should be expressed
in the way we educate our children.

Each year at the Ananda Living Wisdom High School we administer a nationally-recognized standardized test called the Iowa Test of Educational Development. It is a test that measures reading comprehension, vocabulary development, mastery of English grammar, mathematical reasoning, and mathematical computation, skills that are very similar to those measured by the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), rather than the fact-based approach currently used with California’s Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR). This year our students obtained a group score in the 99th percentile, or the very best you can do. This means that there were no other high schools in the U.S. that had a higher average score than our group, although one percent of American high schools would have a similar rating. We’d like to publicly acknowledge our students for their high intelligence and strong work ethic. It has been a great joy to work with them this year.
